Did you MD5 test the ISO you downloaded?
If you used a CD to install, did you burn it as slowly as possible?

yes, and also it loaded on one computer fine but now I can't get it to load on the one I really want to use. Erno 32

do not select any updates and try to unplug it from the network.... i believe it is a network problem.
