Can't able to install 11.04 desktop version

Asked by vsn1985

Hello,
Mine is a 32 bit machine and I'm using Windows XP service pack 2. Few months ago I used Ubuntu 9.10 along with Windows XP. After some time I uninstalled Ubuntu 9.10. Now I'm trying to install Ubuntu 11.04. I downloaded 32 bit version of 11.04 and created bootable USB using the tool suggested in Ubuntu site. But, when I plugin and try to boot from USB, my machine says boot error. I tried the same on another 32 bit and found it booting properly. Help me to fix the problem and install 11.04 on my machine. Awaiting for your reply and thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
V S Narayanan

To Andrew:
How to do MD5 test?

To Olivier:
"Boot error" is the exact message I get when I try booting from USB (pen drive) loaded with Ubuntu.
I created this USB using the tool suggested Universal USB installer tool. Find the link below. http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3/

Thank you every one especially Andrew and Olivier for your kind support and courtesy. I solved this issue yesterday by creating bootable CD and installed Ubuntu 11.04 from it.
