Ubuntu 10.10 not working

When I try to run or install UBUNTU 10.10 from the CD, it asks for Username and Password, what should I give ?
( Desktop with AMD Sempron 2600+, 1.60 GHz, 752 MB RAM )

Try ubuntu with a blank password.

Press CTRL+ALT+F1
type:

passwd ubuntu

set the password then press CTRL+ALT+F7

loginwith username:

ubuntu

with the password you set. The liveCD has NO password at all. Did you MD5 test the ISO you burned?
