http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/alternative-download#dvd

Select a mirror in your vicinity and download the DVD file,
check correctness of the download via MD5 test,
burn it to a DVD or create a bootable USB stick,
load your DVD or your USB stick,
restart your computer to boot from that device.

More information on http://www.ubuntu.com/download and on the pages linked to that one.

You can also get the DVD .iso using a torrent, which would likely give you a faster download (assuming you have a broadband connection), and which, as a secondary good, would put less stress on the download servers (thus increasing others' speed as well):

i386 (a.k.a. x86, a.k.a. 32-bit Intel or AMD processor):

amd64 (a.k.a. x64 / x86_64, a.k.a. 64-bit Intel or AMD processor):

One additional remark:
The DVDs for the current and past releases contain the packages in the version when the release was officially published.

That means that if you download the Natty DVD you get the packages in the status of April 27, 2011. All the error corrections and enhancements that have been published for Natty since that date are not contained on the DVD, but are available for download from the Ubuntu servers only.

The only exception to this are the LTS (long term support) releases (the last one was 10.04 Lucid). For the LTS releases new CDs and DVDs are built in a cycle of approximately half a year. For Lucid the current one is 10.04.2 containing updates published until early February 2011, compared to the original release from April 2010.
