Installer crashes, wpa/wep

Asked by Gerry

Hello, the problem is the installer crashes when I try to install "K-Ubuntu" 6.06 from the live cd to the second hard-disc.(850MB)
I copied the comment to the desktop, but Windows XP doesn't recognize
the hard-disk so I'm not able to send you the file.

"K-Ubuntu" 6.06has detected my wireless modem, but requires a "WEP"-code, my modem has a "WPA"-code and I don't know if it's possible to get "K-Ubuntu" working with the WPA-code?

Perhaps you could start a web browser on the running Kubuntu 6.06 desktop CD, and send us the log files from there? We need /var/log/installer/syslog, /var/log/syslog, and /var/log/partman.

You won't be able to set up WEP/WPA during installation, but you should be able to set it up using the system configuration tools after you reboot into the installed system.
