will not load ubuntu--error states: permission denied

I am having trouble loading ubuntu 11.04 on my laptop; I keep getting an error stating " permission denied"; All anti-virus soft ware is off and windows settings are low

How are you trying to install?
Are you trying to install inside windows using wubi.exe or are you trying to do a full install on the entire disk?

Thanks, Paul........I downloaded wubi for a full install rather than the wubi for the install inside windows; I downloaded the correct version and i am now up and running...........I do have a new problem, however; I cannot connect to my wireless router; I was told I have to do a manual rather than automatic config, but neither seems to be working; Ubantu also does not have a network scan feature (like Windows), so I am having trouble finding my network; My hardwire, ethernet cable connection to my netgear router works fine, and when I switch back to Windows Vista, I pick up my wireless connection fine....Do I have to download something additional to fix this?

"Ubuntu also does not have a network scan feature" : Open File Explorer, and then "Go to"->"Network".
