Asked by peter m

Im new to ubuntu and i need some guidance what to do and what not to.

I had to reinstall it 2 times cause it got messed up.

I would like to know about the things i should avoid trying ..like i had a rel bad experience so far with that advanced desktop effects setting\compizconfig sure as heck i m not gonna download it again.
Im running 11.04 is any other version or upgrade that i should get that is reliable?

Just use the OS and you will learn. Keep the use of sudo/root to a minimum for security and update as often as you can so that you are fully updated.

11.04 is the latest stable release. So using it is fine.
