1.) Check the ISO image file's MD5 sum and compare it with the given, this should be identical.
2.) You need to copy the ISO file using unetbootin on your Flash Drive (1GB capacity recommended).

sudo apt-get install unetbootin

3.) You need to set your BIOS boot option to first boot on USB external hard drive.
4.) Help yourself, read through the online manual below:
