problem booting from USB

Asked by Elidan

I used the instructions on the Ubuntu website to install the Ubuntu installer on my USB drive (2GB) and I restarted my computer. I went into the BIOS to change the boot order and saw that it automatically set the USB to be the first boot priority, I double checked everything and exited. When computer was booting and deciding what to load the command lines showed it loading some things USB related that it usually doesn't load, but it still loaded Windows.

Check that the MD5 sum of the the ISO file downloaded equals with the original supplied. Burn with the lowest speed (2x) as possible.

Try unetbooting it on a spare USB drive if MD5 sum is correct, or try burning the image on a CD instead and retry installing it.

is your usb drive a sandisk? does it have U3 on it? if it does, you'll need to download the U3 remover from sandisk's website to get rid of it.

Can you help with this problem?
