IDE device is not detected by Ubuntu 11.04

Asked by vale

Installed Natty Narwhal on Asus P8P67 LE motherboard and system does not see any IDE devices. Output of "sudo lshw -class storage -class disk" gives that
*-ide UNCLAIMED
       description: IDE interface
       product: Marvell Technology Group Ltd.
       vendor: Marvell Technology Group Ltd.
BIOS recognises those HDD and CDROM just fine. There are some words about it at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Marvell_Technology_Group_chipsets#Linux_IDE.28PATA.29_driver_problem_workaround_for_Marvell_88SE6111.2C_88SE6121.2C_88SE6145
but I am not sure that I am on the right track.

Please help.

I understand that fix for bug #658521 supposed to be in the kernel 2.6.38-8-generic-pae which I am running, but it does not help. How can I figure out if this patch is "really" applied.
