using Ubuntu on virtual machine mode

i created a virtual machine mode for the Ubuntu , in the settings of the DVD section i definde to the virtual mode to upload
the Ubuntu iso file , when i turn it on , the linux starts the upload and then the virual mode suddenly shut down
and i dont know why? can anybody help me to solve the prablom

your iso is maybe corrupted, check the MD5 hash.

it can't be corupted cause i downloaded the file from the main website of Ubuntu

The HTTP protocol doesn't include integrity check. Unfortunately, it's not a joke! So a downloaded ISO image can (and it happens every week in this forum) be corrupted, so please MD5 the ISO image: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM
What virtual machine techno are you using. Virtual PC is known to have many issues with not Windows OS. You should have any trouble with VmWare or Virtual Box (I use latest with Ubuntu as host).

Please post the hash, as well as the name and version of the virtual machine you are using, and the name and version of the guest OS.

Use virtualbox. Windows' virtual Pc is pretty broken.
