create usb installer 10.04

how does one install 10.04 from usb? can i just copy the iso to a dongle? or is there something else to do? the target system is already set to be bootable from usb

Use unetbootin or the 1 2 3 app from pendrivelinux. Copying the ISO or extracting the ISO then copying the files WON'T work. Be sure to MD5 the ISO you downloaded

Depends whether you want to create the dongle from windows or from another copy of Ubuntu. Just copying the ISO to the dongle will NOT work.

If running Ubuntu then run usb-creator-gtk

I used the usb creator app from ubuntu store. get error from target machine. no system kernel

yeah. I figured out what was wrong, too. older laptop, had to start with 8.04 then upgrade.... didn't like 4.01 kernel, but 3.(whatever it was) loaded just fine.
