Intrepid is no longer supported in any way, there is no support here or any updates via the repos. Please upgrade (or clean install) at least Lucid

Thanks

Thanks for that answer but my problem is how to do a clean install of anything as when I try to boot from a cd ubuntu takes over and loads it self?

Change the BIOS to boot CD first (or USB if you are using USB to install with). Be sure to MD5 test the ISO you downloaded.

You have failed to test the ISO so you have no way of knowing the data was consistent or complete.

Finally managed to install "EasyPeasy" and everything works except I am unable to enter Evolution mail details because the bottom half of the enter details screen is hidden. Is there a way to display this panel please.
Sorry to be a pain and thanks for your help

EasyPeasy isn't a supported release of Ubuntu and has it's own support. It isn't supported here or in the official ubuntu irc channels and suchlike

Please mark as solved if it is so.
