Will ubuntu run on my system?

Hi,
I have a sony vaio laptop which im considering to swap windows and use ubuntu instead.
it currently has 1 Gb RAM and the processer is running @ 1.60 ghz x32.
Will ubuntu work?i notice you have both x32 and x64 as options.

Yes Ubuntu will run. You have x32 bit so just install from ubuntu.com- regular install.
