ubuntu install hang

hi, i am using ubuntu from last few months. it has no major problems. the version is 10.10.
but few days ago i bought a sapphire 5570 pcie card.i install iit.and when i install xp it is ok. and when i try to install ubuntu (beside xp) it installed, when it try to restart i press restart everything go fine but after eject the cd the screen goes black and pc hanged. i press all key but does not work. then i press restart ubuntu opens but it does not stable. many program not runs properly.i put some screenshot in it.

Have you tried adding the boot option:

nomodeset

i have no booting problem. it boot ok

but when boot screen scraped and desktop is like this

it means it does not work properly. but without pci E card ubuntu wrk finewht idoo now. icant use pc without my pcie card. pcie card has no problem. it is brand new. and also work fine with xp . now wht i do

i cant install properly, my modem is not found.you can see there is no network wizerd in screenshot. if i download ubuntu 10.4 lts or 11 thus this problem solve? then which is better 10.4 or 11?i am sure it is driver problem.bcz if i install without pcie it work fine. but if i plug the pcie after install the same thing happened.
