what the next version.

I have Lubuntu 10.10 version CD right now. I wanted to know, If i install that, what would be my next update version. Will it give me to update to LTS version or Natty version or Maverick. Please guide. Since, if its just as 9.10 version, I would like to use it.

10.10 is Maverick.

Your next upgrade allowed will be to Natty as it is the next release. The release can be just like Karmic if you log on to gnome classic session when you log in. The default is the new Unity desktop but you can use the classic if it is not to your liking.

So lubuntu 10.10 is nothing but Maverick, as you say. Hmm. ok. Thats great. So right now, I'm using 9.10. Earlier I upgraded 9.10 to LTS and even tried Natty. So my question with a quote "presently I don't want Natty, Would prefer Maverick though or LTS", So here is my question - Do you suggest me, to install LUBUNTU 10.10(if its maverick) since i have CD, or just Upgrade to LTS through online. Which would be the best option :)

Yes, its Maverick with different default apps and DE/WM. if you run:

sudo apt-get update

You will see maverick on the screen.

I suggest a clean install of Maverick, your OS will be more stable as it won't have the old OS junk cluttering the place up. Remember to rerun you data backup so your data is safe and can be restored after the install has finished.

Wow, that;s nice.. Thanks for your suggestion. I would install Lubuntu(maverick now). I was bit concerned, since actually I wanted to try Maverick and I was thinking, should I again download the whole CD or if Lubuntu is nothing but Maverick why shouldn't I try it. And natty was creating some issue and feels sad since in that I should only be in Classic, since my intel graphics card isn't supporting. But yup, It was great pleasure to get awesome quick and neat response from you.
