Download into a partition

I currently have windows vista and partitioned my hard drive. I want to install ubuntu onto that partition. Do I need to burn a cd or can I download ubuntu onto my new partition? What do i need to make sure I download to make this work properly?

Pl download and burn it on CD then go for installation and when installation wizard starts it will again be asking you about which partition you want to use it for installation give the one you want then it has to be either ext3 or ext4... choose ext3 format then keep atleast 1 GB for swap memory also. There after installation is automatic you need to wait and watch...it should be completed in an hour or so after that run the updates through update=manager almost you may be downloading around 200-300 Mb of updates for your ubuntu 11.04.
