ubuntu 10.10 won't install

Downloaded ubuntu 10.10 netbook edition onto usb and when i'm trying to install it on my netbook it says at the beggining BOOTMGR is missing Press CTRL+ALT +Del to restart.....When it restarts it goes to same screen?
Anyone got any ideas?

Did you MD5 test the ISO you downloaded?

You could have researched a little and found that. You have pulled down a VERY sensitive piece of data but have failed to test it so currently we have no way of knowing if the file is complete or consistent. The internet is very unreliable as networks go and there are protocols to help make it more reliable. Bad data can and does get through and so MD5 and SHA summing is used so you can test the file you downloaded.

If the image is bad you will need to redownload and retest the image.

If it is ok then we can look into other things which may be causing issues.

Yes, the image is bad. You need to redownload. Please tell 2 people of MD5 testing and have them tell 2 people.
