Installation issue with Ubuntu 10.10.

When i try to install Ubuntu 10.10 the following Error message comes up:

[ 144.510543] vt596_SMBus 0000:00:07.4:SMBUS:Error: Host SMBus Controller not enabled! - Upgrade BIOS or use force = 1

I need help with this issue as i cannot get my computer running without the Ubuntu OS.

Did you install 32-bit Ubuntu or 64 bit Ubuntu?

Have a look at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1578088 to see how to set "force = 1"
SMB bus is a two wires bus, which is used for fans, so you could temperature issue.
