After Using Ubuntu 10.10 Usb

Used ubuntu 10.10 latest version installers to usb stick

after this the pc will not recognise any mouse usb or standard ps3

this includes when re booting system to windows disk

all help for a new by apreciated

 is there some setting in bios that i might have changed in getting to boot from usb ?

Changing the boot order to put usb first should not affect a usb mouse. Recheck the other BIOS entries -- there may be something about usb mouse/keyboard support. Now I did recently see a problem someone reported about the light being out on their optical mouse. Is your mouse an optical mouse? Is the light on? When you rebooted to Windows and still saw the problem, was that a warm reboot (not turned completely off, which is a cold reboot). Those are symptoms of an old kernel problem. which I hope is not reappearing.

Do you have issue at boot, to choose which OS to boot and/or when you get graphic login screen ?
In first case, check USB legacy mouse/keypad in BIOS parameter.
In second case, you have an issue with X11 graphic server. What is your graphic card or chipset ?

os systems boot but there is no usb or ps2 mouse usb mouse is powers and comunicating
on first booting to ubuntube from usb stick ps2 mouse worked ok tried to update after which i have no mouse have cleared and re set usb stick back to original iso but still no joy
