Can Linux Ubuntu 10.10. be installed on a PS 3?

I heard that Linux can be installed on PS 3's. Is this true and if so what would I need to do?

An old PS3 or a hack. Sony removed this functionality a while ago with a firmware upgrade. As to the hack, Sony is subpoenaing people how have just read the blog. I would avoid this...

If your PS3 has not had the otherOS option removed by sony, then yes. However an update from sony has disabled this feature remotely.

This is currently the cause of a class action in the united states, where class members are litigating sony for percieved damages to their consoles -- willful breach of contract (I think).
