boot ubuntu 10.10 live cd problem

I download ubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386 from ubuntu.com,use winmd5sum to check the download file md5sum are mach the ubuntu official checksum. I use infrarecorder to burn the image to cd, I put cd in driver to reboot computer , but I get nothing, I heard the dvd driver are running , the have select language screen, then I chose language, then hit enter key, and then nothing appear on monitor. I tryed to reburn new one then to boot the cd, but still same problem, I even tryed to burn the iso file to usb , but the usb boot still get same problem . any ideal are appreciation.

You can try the alternate CD which avoids some of the video problems you are seeing. Also, before any screens show up when booting the CD you have, type F6 to interrupt the process, going straight to the language screen, and hopefully avoiding some video problems.
