Most probably the issue is that the installer allows in you user name only lowercase character, without sufficiently clear hints about that.

If you try the installation again, on the page 'Who are you?' enter a user name with only lowercase characters (your full name and password can be whatever), and try again.

The developers have already been asked to show that much clearer on upcoming releases.

which step are you stuck on?
selecting the keyboard?
selecting the country?
entering your username and password?

It's a known bug of Ubiquity. The user name must begin with a lower character, then use only lower characters, numbers, "-" and "_"
