Which version of Ubuntu would I use with Acer Aspire 9810

Asked by R.G.Garland

I have a Acer Aspire 9810 using Vista.
I want to have a dual boot system using Ubuntu and Vista.
After looking at your site I wanted to know if I should use the full version or the netbook version.

Any advise would be helpfull.
Thank you

Both will run fine, it's a matter of personal preference on using the smaller screen. Try both with live media, and install the one you like.

The Acer Aspire 9810 is a full-sized laptop will a full-sized screen and normal battery life, so the most common choice would be to install Ubuntu Desktop Edition. However, both should work -- it's not a bad idea too try them out, as Ubfan suggests. (To try either one, boot the install CD and click "Try Ubuntu".)
