Can I attach files on bootable iso?

I want burn CDs with several forms of Ubuntu downloaded from home pages. And I want attach some text files (how to install etc.) on these CDs for end users, my friends. How can I do it? How compose CD to stay bootable? How to burn it?

 too much info for one cd
the download is 696mb and the cd `s are 700mb

Can I create DVD as well if need, but I think 4 mb free space is sufficient for one file containing short installation information.
