Standard or Netbook edition ?

Asked by Ama

Hi!
I just bought a new notebook and wanted to know which ubuntu version i should install.
It has a 13' screen so i guess nebook-version would be clearer for the small screen. But its quite a good computer with modern graphics and i'm worried that the netbook-version cant fully use the capacity of it. Is the difference between the versions just the layout and interface?

Which version sould i install?
Thanks in advance!

Ama

Personally, I'd recommend installing the Desktop version, then simply install the ubuntu-netbook package. That way you can choose which too use, either Gnome or Unity at login.

I don't find Unity to be feature complete at this point, and rely on using both on my netbook.

Best of luck,
George
