Can i run Ubuntu 32-bit version on X64 system

hi.i have a question.
can i run Ubuntu 10.10 OR 10.04 "32bit version" on my X64 system?AMD AthloneX2 4200+ is my CPU that X64.
can i run ubuntu 32 bit version ON X86 system or just ubuntu 64 BIT version work on it?

 yes ! i have amd athlon 64 4000 + and been running 32 bit ubuntu for over three years . have also run the 64 bit . the 32 bit has better support , more people run it .

Yes just like you can run 32bit Windows on a 64bit CPU. If you intend to do a lot of video encoding then 64bit will help. If you have a Canon or Brother printer then you will need 32bit as they only make 32bit drivers.
