Which release of Ubuntu are you using...?

Assuming you have Ubuntu 10.10 (latest version) or Ubuntu 10.04 (long-term support version)
1. boot from the live CD
2. select Install Ubuntu from the options
3. follow the instructions and select your choice of language, timezone, etc
4. once you get to the section where partitioning is asked, select Erase and use the entire disk.

This will wipe off Windows Vista, recovery partition (if there's any) and all your data in the disk so BE SURE, before you do this that you BACKUP all your files.

I hope that helps.

To learn more about Ubuntu, download your free copy of Ubuntu Manual (Second Edition) at http://ubuntu-manual.org/

Can you help with this problem?
