Stuck on the "Where Are You" Screen

Asked by Mark Hammer

On Step 2 of 7 on Verision 10.4, the "Where Are you?" screen:
I click Forward and it acts like it is loading something but never changes. I even left it overnight. I can click Quit and it will respond. Tried three times so far.

Any help would be appreciated!

Did you MD5 test the file you downloaded?
If you are using a CD, did you check the CD for defects?
If you are using USB, Did you check the USB consistancy?
Have you tested your RAM health using the liveCD/liveUSB?

Thanks

Hello actionparsnip.
Could you link questions about installation at ubiquity, so I could have a second look.
I also subscribed grub2.
Thank you.

Can you boot on Ubuntu CD/USB stick, choose "Try without installing" and System->Administration->Check Hardware and check network.

I gave up, and went to 10.10. Is this a good or a bad thing? My goal is to configure for a multiseat but don't have a guide for 10.10. Any ideas??? Thanks!

10.10 is great here. Not supported as long as Lucid but still great. Hope you enjoy it.

Can you help with this problem?
