From UBUNTU back to Win XP

Asked by Jiri Subr

Hello,

due to i am not happy with my new OS UBUNTU, i want to go back to Windows XP. My printers don't work properly and this is the reason, but when i go to BIOS, set boot on CD ROM, put CD and restart, Ubuntu agains run. There is not install screen of Windows XP.

After i start my PC, CD do some noise and system write: For install OS click some key, i do that but after 10 sec Linux runs (in BIOS isn't HDD medium, so it cannot start!).

I cannot install Windows XP back, i have many to print and i need fast support. On google there are solutions for windows to ubuntu, but from ubuntu to windows anything, please help me.

This isn't an Ubuntu question. It's a windows question and is suited to a windows forum.

1) if you boot off a CD with ubuntu, of course, it will load ubuntu.

Try booting your system without the CD in the drive.

2) did you write over your windoze when you installed ubuntu? from what you said, i doubt you installed ubuntu, you only booted up the CD.

This isn't an Ubuntu question. The fact you are overwriting Ubuntu is moot. You should post on a WINDOWS forum as this is the product you are having issue with.

"I put to CD ROM Windows XP install CD and it doesn't boot": You have an issue with your XP CD, and so have to get a new one. The only solution I can provide you is to keep a minimal Ubuntu installation (4GB for easy solution, and less for a more complex one) and boot by default to XP.
