Has anyone here got an eMachine?

I'm planning to install 10.10 on my eMachine d730 notebook, core i3. I'm not sure if it's compatible. Has anyone here tried? If so, have you had any issues using it? I want to also experience Ubuntu coz I think this new OS has a great potential to compete with ms and apple.

Simply made an Ubuntu cd or usb stick install disk from a md5sum verified iso image
and then boot your pc entirely from it and select to try Ubuntu without install it, you can verify if it works by yourself, then if it works you can install it using same cd or usb stick by pressing on the install item
