I cant seem to boot ubuntu from grub.

Asked by Alex Gartner

First of all I tried to install Ubuntu 10.10 net book remix alongside vista. When I booted the system I got to grub and selected Ubuntu and then it black screens and sits there but i figured the net book version is not designed for desktops and that was the reason why. So I wiped the partion and started over.

Second of all I tried to install Ubuntu again but with the desktop version and the exact same thing happened. I can still boot vista fine and use the live CD version of Ubuntu but can't boot the version installed on my HD.

Any help would be much appreciated!
