Install On A IBM ThinkPad T410 - FREEZES
Hi guys.. Here is my issue:
I am currently trying to install Ubuntu 10.10 on my new IBM Thinkpad T410 for the first time. I choose the option to install the software and erase all previous programs that were on it before. Everything seems to be working good until it is copying files during the install then it freezes 3/4 of the way through and the progress bar says 'ready when you are....' and when you click the arrow next to the progess bar, I get the following message:
Nov 1 11:01:41 ubuntu kernal: [ 1202.579987] intel ips 0000:00:lf.6: MCP power or thermal limit exceeded
This is happening at the install page that says "Who Are You?" where you enter your name, username, password, ect.
Any help on this problem would be much appreciated, I have tried re-downloading it twice and mounting it on different CD and DVD's and I keep getting this same error.
Thanks!!!
