Install Ubuntu on Sony Model VPC-CW2JGX/B

I have sony vaio Model VPC-CW2JGX/B Windows 7 Professional License, I could not install ubuntu 10.x.
Everytime I tried, the installation was interrupted with black screen.

Hope someone can help me with this issue.

Make sure you MD5 test any files you downloaded before using them and if you burned a CD ensure you burned it slowly and checked the CD for defects.
