Toshiba LAPTOP L745

Just bought for daughter..She wants UBUNTU on it....question...Pulled down 10.10 64amd but will not load at Boot up??
Suggestions?

Press F12 and select the boot device... be sure to use a cd made from a md5sum verified iso image...
To get best compatibility please install Ubuntu desktop not 64 bits...

not 64bit? the machine says 64bit amd processor??

well downloaded 32bit--f12 for cd/dvd load device--started --or seemed to start load process...sits there blank screen cursor blinking..
Also it is a L675 model not 745...my mistake...
