Which package does provide the /home directory? (It isn't base-files!)

Asked by PeterPall

Sorry that I have to ask a question that - at least in the first moment - seems to have an extremely simple answer. But I just do not seem to be able to find out which package does create the /home directory when being installed. I always assumed it was base-files, but in the changelog of this package there is an entry that marks the deletion of this file from the package. Does anybody know the answer - which package does provide it now?

Thanks a lot,

    Peter.

As far as I am aware, it's a folder, plain and simple. It's not provided by any package. It is a folder on your / partition (known as root partition). If you configure advanced partitioning and have a separate /home partition then the folder will be empty.

Should be ubiquity, as it makes /home folder at installation, but it's not a "package" folder.
