Install (neither over cd nor over wubi) is impossible with Style-Note BIOS.
Hey there!
Since my Vista isn't able anymore to connect to a WiFi-Network on my notebook and I'm tired of fixing stupid Windows problems i tried to install Ubuntu, what is running on my PC too.
Some weeks ago i sent it to support (they changed the mainbord) and it came back with a new BIOS, supporting mouse input, but not supporting Ubuntu as it seems. If i start with CD in tray and choose "Boot from CD", i can see they typically red background without any text, only the small keybord sybol at the bottom. Then the screen dissappears, the screen stays black, only the console cursers is blinking.
So i tried to install it through windows, whith less performance, but better than working with Vista. Result: In-Windows-
Maybe there is an incompatibiltiy of Ubuntu and my Style-Note Bios?
Maybe theres i problem i don't see?
Helpful information: The CD is ok, i tried it on another PC, and theres enough space on harddisk.
If theres other information i forgot, please ask.
Thanks for your help in advance.
