Won't Install

I have an older computer and when i go to install ubuntu i ether get a cant mount onto filesystem.squashfs or it says only supports bios 2000 and up and mine is 1999 and they have released no new ones so i cant put on a new bios what are my options for installing ubuntu or is it even possible.

Can you provide the exact error message ?
A solution could to download an older Ubuntu, like 8.10. But before we have to understand your issue.

the text it shows on screen is:

"

What's the status of this question ?
