trouble with install

when i try to install .run package it says i dont have write permission

im trying to install tremulous-1.1.0-installer.x86.run . It asks me to enter the install path as /usr/local/games/tremulous/ . as near as i can tell the path should be /usr/games/tremulous/. either way it keeps saying that i have no write permission. please help!

Hi,

Please open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal
and type:

sudo -s
./tremulous-1.1.0-installer.x86.run

This should work, because sudo -s gives you root shell privileges. Then you can install whatever you want.
