Since ubuntu 9.10 cannot download torrents.

I recently upgraded from ubuntu jaunty jakalope to karmic koala. Since the upgrade every time i try to download a torrent i get the following error in transmission bittorrent client "tracker returned a 4xx message". Any help, i have no idea waht to do.

Have you tried closing transmission, renaming ~/.config/transmission, then relaunching the app?

This will mean you have to manually seed the files again (if you want) but you can always rename back if you gain nothing. If torrents are ok after the rename, you know your profile is either broken or some part of it is causing issues with the new version.
