Torrent glitch

Hello, can someone please fix this glitch it's pissing me off something fierce, when I'm downloading with transmission to my desktop (I assume this would be for any folder) If I browse my desktop for a file when posting a craigslist or ebay posting, the browse window locks up because of the constant refresh from the Transmission downloader. Please fix this and tell me when a update is available thanks.

Are you using Nautilus for your desktop browser?

What version of Ubuntu are you running?
