Cant download Torrents

I recently installed ubuntu and honestly love it, ive downloaded torrents before but the problem is that i cant at my schools wifi, i can connect to the internet and ive configured the proxy and authentication correctly but it still wont download, the strange thing is that when i use windows uTorrent downloades just fine.

Did you configure the proxy in your torrent client?
Have you tried other clients?

I'd watch what you download over the link as the school will be liable if you breach copyrights.

I configured it in ubuntu and the client, and no I haven't tried other clients, any recommendations?
