How do I look up files on transmission? I want to get music.

http://www.jamendo.com/en/ is a good source for finding music to download with BitTorrent.

Pick an album there and click the "Download" link. A browser popup window will appear, and in the left-hand sidebar there will be an option to download "BitTorrent MP3" or "BitTorrent OGG". Click on one of those choices to download a .torrent file, and open that .torrent file in Transmission.
