reQuest for Adding listening based languages
hi all,
i am viml from india . i know hindi & abc vell. in my family all others do know only local language razasthani .& ** small case abc**. they can read abc & understand razAsThani Written in abc.
abcde N ghi H klmnop A rstuv D T yz.
(https:/
this situation is for:
all asians - english educated asians = more than 3/4th of asians.
so we need :
1) delius unicase like fonts ( designed by natalia raices)
(https:/
2) transliteration
(https:/
in linux mint. in this way around 200 crore more people like me & my family will become users of linux.
there are 2-3 points related to spellings in scots & indian languages to be included in discussion :
1) phonics in indic languages & scots language.
as per :
https:/
"write as you hear the sounds in your head"
same rule is there for all indian languages.
"zo sunai De usko hi likho".
2) no QJ in chemical language
zn zinc zr zirconium k potAssium , but no QJ in chemistry periodic table.
so no QJ in compounds , molecules , any chemical formulae.
3) in indian maths is solh% based. means in india still ve speak
4ana 8ana Q_barahna 10_solhaba
means india/nepal still uses heksbin number system , in same way cpu, ethernet,
https:/
so on observing this , it seems there is need phor adding languages vhich can be helpful for poor people who knoz abc only but not spellings.
https:/
so kindly add these languages phur translations :
1) scotlish/soNglish
2) zinglish/
3) india_abc languages
(hinDish/
already in india people are doing work for this :
1) https:/
2)https:/
but in linuxmint , it can be done at os level by adding these languages/
keyboard layout is already there for unicase_listening based languages ( using xkb laout )
https:/
https:/
pliiz consider adding languages : scotish_
regards,
vimal
