Tracker does not perform searches

Tracker keeps saying: "your search returned no results" each time I perform search from Applications/Accessories/Tracker but it works fine from its icon that I installed on the panel. This is strange. They also use two different windows (the one from the panel offers setup/preference choices, and the other one is totally blank).
Is this a problem?

This was originally a question #69462 which was converted to a bug.
Well, since there is "no solution" on the horizon, I have no choice but to close this question as if it was solved.
