Trouble with two sound cards (devices)

I have two sound cards in my computer, for the purpose of using one for a headset and one for speakers. Most applications allow users to select which sound device to use, but I have not found this available in Totem. Totem always plays through the headset. How can this be changed?

Ubuntu 7.04, Totem Movie Player 2.18.1

Ah - I've got it now. I had to put the System -> Preferences -> Sound Preferences selection back into the "Main Menu" configuration. I wasn't aware that Totem was part of the GNOME project and had to be configured from a separate application.
