totem package

removing items from desktop

icons of mvws received via email (and viewed via moviemaker) transported themselves to the desktop and I cannot remove them or move them to trash.

try:

cd ~/Desktop; ls -a

You can use:

sudo rm file_to_delete

to delete the offending icon
