Movie Player won't play DVDs

Asked by Pat

I've already done these:-

sudo apt-get install libdvdread4
 sudo /usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh

But when I select Movie>Play Disc 'LOG_PAL' the Movie Player app vanishes. Crashes, presumably. What's the problem?

You need libdvdcss2 from the medibuntu repo

I'm new to all this. Is this the right command?
sudo apt-get install libdvdcss2

I've done it and tried again. Same result.

Okay, I've done the commands in "Adding the Repository". Then I executed " sudo apt-get install libdvdcss2" again. Same result. Movie Player vanishes.

Does it play in other apps (mplayer or vlc for example)

I've just done a reboot, and then tried it again. Now it works - so far. But I'll wait a couple of days before saying it's solved. But thanks in the meantime.

Can you help with this problem?
