totem package

unable to play movie, picture on screen but not running

PC has SATA DVD Recorder LG Super Multi RW and Totem does not appear to access the drive other than to
show intro screen. Can move frames using the bar but no motion, also obviously no sound.

PC is AMD x2 4200@2.2Ghz
4Gb DDR PC3200 Ram
160Gb IDE HDD (Hitachi)
Asus Radeon 1600 Pro 512Mb DDR2 Graphics PCIe
Asrock DUAL SATA2 Motherboard
LG DVD Multi RW

Try using Vlc instead of totem.

If VLC or Totem doesn't work, and you want to watch dvd movies or play downloaded flv video files in Ubuntu,
Google for "flv flash Totem internal data stream vlc undf"
... it's better to install everything in 32 bit, even if you have a 64 bit machine, as there are something missing in 64 bit depository like drivers, codecs,...
