Binary package hint: totem

i want to open live web casting,in the site they recommended windows media players free download.

in totem movie player is not opening ,

Thanks, but that is not a Totem bug. The website checks if WMP is installed on your system, and fails because it isn't. Because of this, the Ubuntu team cannot fix your particular problem. You should contact the website developers if you want to view the stream in an alternative player.

In Movie player, open the location "mms://59.165.131.6/shirdi1". This value is hidden on the web page you provided (View, Souce of that web page).

yeah thts right. but you have to install the codec pack for mms.
totem asks automatically and just install it.
or you can install it from add/remove option in your menu bar.
search for "plugins mms"

then paste this in the address bar of firefox and totem plugin will play the streaming audio.

dont worry if the web page goes black. when music starts playing then you can see visualisations on the web page like the ones in your media player etc.

you can even listen to live online radio.
just tune in to the desired station and let the music play.

winamp site offers millions of radio stations categorized by genre like pop, dance etc.
